You can literally find thousands of fashion articles about the "little black dress" that have been written over the years. It all began when Coco Chanel highlighted the elegance of a simple black dress in combination with pearls. However, when we refer to the "little black dress" we can't help but picture the absolutely stunning black dress that Andrey Hepburn was wearing in the opening scene of "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Besides, how could such an all time-great outfit not be the epitome of black dresses when elegance meets simplicity in such an revolutionary way? I think that this is exactly the reason why the "little black dress" is women's number one stylistic choice worldwide. Besides its most important advantage which of course is that you don't need much -in terms of accessories, in order to look chic while wearing it, it's also extremely easy to be wore and transformed into an amazing number of outfits - from minimal to extravagant.
Personally I think that the little black dress doesn't have to be revealing in order to be impressive and eye-catching...au contraire! The ultimate black dress should be balanced. If it's too revealing in the cleavage then it should be somewhat modest in its length and vice versa. When I saw this gorgeous black dress I immediately thought of so many different ways to style it. For this particular photoshoot I chose one of my favorite jackets - a baseball jacket in black color with several white details. Finally, I chose to give a chic touch to my outfit by wearing my pastel pink pumps in order to even out the sporty look. How would you wear your little black dress?
